have set an example for new generation politicians. True, the bond was always there, but it strengthened when the former visited the latter's ancestral home and sought the blessing of his mother.

Campaigning for the 2nd phase of elections, Vijaykant visited Vaiko at Kalingapatti at 4:10 pm yesterday. Of course, the place is known for its hospitality even toward strangers.

No wonder, the leader was served with hot dosa, vada with coconut and tomato chutney, halwa and filter coffee by the ladies of the household.

But, the visit also meant business as the two leaders spoke in isolation for about 15 minutes. Later Vaiko recalled how great leaders like Jayalalitha, K. Kamaraj, Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar and Omanthur Ramasamy Reddiar visited his house and some of them even visited his father who was a staunch Congress supporter.

At the end of the visit, Vijaykant thanked the leader for his hospitality and said,"I am a great fan of Mr. Vaiko and this bond has strengthened further today."
