Tamil Nadu poll: 190 booths in Namakkal identified sensitive

Namakkal (TN), Mar 29: Nearly 200 polling booths in the district have been identified as sensitive and would have additional security and other measures.

The district had a total of 1,560 polling booths spread over six assembly constituencies and of this 190 had been identified as sensitive, District Collector and Election Officer K Dakshinamurthy told reporters here today.

Web cameras and additional police personnel would be deployed in these booths, he added.

He also said the election department had given voters ID card to 129 members of seven old age homes in the district.
