Tamil Nadu: PM Modi, K Annamalai To Address Two Election Rallies Today
On his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates and address two public rallies on Wednesday. As per the scheduled program, PM Modi alongside BJP state president K Annamalai will address the people in Vellore and Mettupalayam (Coimbatore) and try to woo them to support and elect the saffron front candidates in the upcoming elections.
This time, BJP is trying hard to make an impactful entry in down south, banking heavily on the popular leader and its state unit chief K Annamalai, who is contesting polls from Coimbatore. PM Modi will also do a rally for Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) candidate Soumya Anbumani, along with other party heavyweights.

Tamil Nadu has a strength of 39 MPs and the state will go under polling in a single phase on April 19.
A day ago, PM Modi and K Annamalai held a mega 2 km long roadshow at Thiyagaraya Road from Panagal Park to Teynampet in the city's T. Nagar. BJP's Tamilisai Soundararjan and Vinoj P Selvam were also present in the open jeep holding placards of lotus (BJP's election symbol) during the roadshow.
Speaking to the media after the roadshow, K Annamalai expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for coming and meeting the people of Chennai. Annamalai said the people of Chennai welcomed PM like their own son, and the successful roadshow can tell the mood of people. "People of Ramil Nadu are really excited and this is going to reflect on April 19 in a very big way," Annamalai added.
