Chennai, March 15: The Election Commission of India is taking particular care in Tamil Nadu, which is already known for Amma's freebies, during the elections. It has announced separate E-mail addresses for all the 32 districts in the state to be contesting the Lok Sabha Elections.

The e-mail addresses of all districts comprises three words- name of the district, year of election and the world ‘complaints'. For example, the e-mail address of Chennai district would be [email protected] and that of Tiruvallur district will be [email protected].

One can send photographs and complaints against the miscreants to the above-mentioned address.

Meanwhile, the district collectors have been trying to set up vigilance commitees apolitical comprising youths in all the villages in the state. Of course there are 'flying squads' and 'static surveillance squads' that have seized unaccounted money of 6,06,19,120; sarees, jewellery and other non-cash items worth 42,50,010, till March 12.

Chief Election Officer Praveen Kumar said in an official release that the cash and other things have been handed over to the treasury and follow-up action is being taken by the District Election Officers.

The election flying squad has also seized Rs 80 lakh from two persons in an omnibus on its way to Kerala from Bengaluru in Salem.
