Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Seeks Investments from Spain
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin embarks on an eight-day trip to Spain to woo investors and attract investments from leading industrial companies and organizations.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin embarked on an eight-day trip to Spain on Saturday, January 27, with the primary objective of attracting foreign investments to the state. During his overseas visit, the Chief Minister aims to engage with prominent industrial companies, including ROCA, Gestamp, and the investment organization Invest in Spain, to foster discussions and secure investments for Tamil Nadu.

Promoting Tamil Nadu as an Investment Destination
Chief Minister Stalin expressed his hopes that this trip would not only attract the attention of Spanish investors but also pave the way for substantial investments from other European Union countries. His efforts are strategically aligned with the state's ambitious goal of becoming a one trillion dollar economy by 2030.
Success of Previous Investment Missions
Recalling the success of his previous foreign trips, the Chief Minister highlighted the fruitful outcomes of his visits to the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Japan. These trips resulted in the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth a combined Rs 7,442 crore, leading to the creation of over 17,000 jobs in Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister specifically mentioned the swift implementation of investment commitments, citing examples such as Omron and Mitsubishi from Japan, which have already commenced setting up their factories in the state. Similarly, CapitaLand from Singapore and LuLu International Group from the UAE have initiated their projects in Tamil Nadu.
Investment Meet in Spain
Following the successful model of his previous investment missions, Chief Minister Stalin announced that he would host an investors meet in Spain during his visit. This event is expected to attract leading investors, business organizations, and entrepreneurs from Spain, providing an opportunity to showcase Tamil Nadu's favorable investment environment, infrastructure, and skilled human resources.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's investment mission to Spain underscores the state government's commitment to attracting foreign investments and fostering economic growth.
