Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa grants solatium
Chennai, Dec 27: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today ordered immediate disbursal of Rs four lakh to each of the kin of nine more persons, who were killed in recent rain related incidents.
While six persons died due to drowning, three others were killed in wall collapse incidents. The victims hail from various parts of Tamil Nadu including Tiruvelveli, Tiruvannamalai and Kanchipuram Districts.

They were killed in separate incidents between December four and eight. Condoling the deaths, she said, "I have ordered immediate disbursal of Rs four lakh to each of the next of kin of these nine persons who were killed in such tragic incidents."
