Tamil Nadu BJP leader sexually abuses minor girl on train, police registers case
KP Prem Ananth, a lawyer and a former BJP candidate from RK Nagar for 2006 Tamil Nadu assembly polls, arrested in Erode for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl onboard a train from Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai.
According to the FIR based on a complaint filed by the girl's mother, the incident occurred at 1.15 am on Sunday when the child was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai with her family.
Accused K P Prem Ananth, says the FIR, boarded the train from Coimbatore and the incident took place between Coimbatore and Erode.
According to The Hindu, her parents alerted the TTE when the victim raised an alarm. Prem Ananth was taken to the Government Railway Police Station after the train arrived at the Erode Railway Junction. The police registered a case under Section 9 (m) r/w 10 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
