Taj Mahotsav kicks off in Agra

Agra, Feb 18: The 10-day annual cultural festival of 'Taj Mahotsav' was inaugurated today by the

Tourism Minister at Shilpagram auditorium here.

"Around 350 artisans from all over the country are displaying their wares at stalls provided by the organizers," said Pradeep Srivastava, Commissioner of Agra Division and President of Taj Mahotsav's organising committee said.

He said about 1,500 national and local artistes would be performing at the four venues of the festival, the main one being the auditorium of Shilpagram. The festival, which has been held for past many years, will showcase the best of crafts and culture of the country.

The Mahotsav has started on February 18 and will continue till the 27th of February. 'Paigam-E-Mohabbat', as it is known this year, will find many celebrity performances including Bollywood singers and actors.
