Tahawwur Rana In India: PM Modi’s 2011 Tweet Criticising UPA Government Trends Again
Following the extradition of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack suspect Tahawwur Rana to India on Thursday, a 2011 post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reappeared and gone viral on social media platform X.
Modi's previous statement, in which he harshly criticized the foreign policy of the then-UPA government after the United States exonerated Rana of charges related to the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was widely shared by netizens.

"The US declaring Tahawwur Rana innocent in the Mumbai attack has disgraced the sovereignty of India & it is a major foreign policy setback," Modi had stated at the time.
The statement's reappearance has sparked new online debate as India pursues legal action against Rana.
