T'gana allows demonetised notes for payment of utility charges till Nov 24
The Telangana government today permitted its citizens to pay utility charges and other payments with demonetised currency notes till November 24.
Hyderabad, Nov 16: The Telangana government today permitted its citizens to pay utility charges and other payments with demonetised currency notes till November 24.
Though the Rs 500 and 1,000 notes have been demonetised by the Centre, an exception was given to the people to pay their taxes and other payments to the government using the demonetised notes, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma said in an official release.

He said all concerned officials have been asked to ensure the implementation of the exemption and also to create awareness among general public about it.
