Synthetic milk unit unearthed, six held in UP

Sambhal (UP), Oct 5: A synthetic milk unit has been unearthed in Nakhasa area in the district and six persons were arrested in this connection, a senior police officer said here today.

Acting on a tip off, a police team raided a house in Fatehpurdev village last night and recovered two tankers filled with 45,000 litre synthetic milk, Additional Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Dixit said.

He said that items, including urea, glucose, sugar and chemical, were also recovered in large quantity.

The ASP said that while six person were arrested from the spot, the main accused Saharyar managed to escape.

A case has been registered and the matter was being investigated, he added.
