Sympathy vs Yeddyurappa- The battle for Gundlupet

While the Congress is banking heavily on the sympathy factor to take its candidate through, the BJP on the other hand is confident that it is in with a good chance.

The elections are 20 days away and both parties are on on overdrive mode. The BJP which has accused the Congress of using money power to win the election says that it would not let the sympathy factor come in the way of its victory.

The BJP's campaign is focused on the failures of Prasad as a minister. Party workers say that they will not be bogged down by the Congress using the sympathy factor in their advantage.

Just look at the crowds that turn up at Yeddyurappa's rallies, BJP workers say. The Congress needs to use money power to draw in the crowds. Yeddyurappa the start campaigner has made several trips to the constituency and is campaigning for the BJP's Niranjan. Whether it would be a sympathy factor in the favour of the Congress or a vote for the BJP, one would have to wait until April 9.
