Swiggy Instamart's Poor Product Quality Breaks A Kid's Heart; Post On 'Used Product Delivered' Goes Viral

Quick commerce websites, popular for delivering food and other items in minutes, have millions of customers but have they ever cared to know how many of them are happy and satisfied with the quality of products being delivered?

In the race to beat the deadline to deliver products, such quick commerce companies often compromise with the quality of the product, and in several cases, customers receive expired or bad quality products.

Recently, a man ordered a toy for his relative's son with his hard-earned money from Swiggy Instamart just to surprise him and see him smiling. But what happened next was heartbreaking for the minor and more disappointing for the man.

The yellow color dog toy, which costed Rs 629 (plus taxes) was not only of bad quality, but a used product, claimed the customer while sharing pictures of the toy on social media.

Man who had to face embarrassment just because of Swiggy's carelessness also filed a complaint with Swiggy's customer care but they did not care to help him.

Sharing his experience through a post on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), the customer said, "I made back-to-back 2 orders in which I was cheated by Swiggy Instamart. Both times the products were sent which were not working. My order numbers are: 199726055184369, 198937610125707."

He also shared the company's response stating: They offered him a coupon instead of full refund.

The customer further added: "I he paid cash for which a refund is offered as a coupon(with a validity of a month), which is illegal, as I should be paid back the money since I paid money. This is totally illegal....the least that should be done is put money in a wallet, or take my bank account details and send it there."

The customer also claimed that he did not get any physical invoice along with the 'defective and poor quality products'.
