Swara Bhasker trolled for crying during her Bidaai ceremony
A video from Swara Bhasker's 'Vidai' (a farewell ceremony organized by the family of the bride to officially bid farewell to their daughter) has gone viral on social media sites.

The actress is apparently seen in tears in the clip while a person is reading out some lines for Swara who leaves the house. Her husband Fahad and her family members are spotted in the clip.
However, a section of slammed her saying she was "overacting". "What do you have to see in this age. It's good that I am blind. 🤣🤣#SwaraBhaskerWedding," a user wrote on Twitter.
"#SwaraBhaskerWedding Why she is crying instead of Fahad Ahmed 🤣," second one said. "Wah kya acting hai," the third user stated.
Some even brought the 'patriarchy' angle to Vidaai ceremony. A netizen claimed, "This is patriarchy. @ReallySwara kyon apne pati ke ghar ja rahi hai. Uska pati kyon nahi aakar swara ke ghar rehta. Ye to har jagah feminism ka jhanda utha leti thi, yaha kyon nahi protest kiya?
The wedding reception of Swara Bhasker's was held earlier this week. Congress' former President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, actress-politician Jaya Bachchan and many other dignitaries graced the event.
The 'Veere Di Wedding' actress had announced in February that she has tied the knot with politician Fahad Ahmad. They had a court marriage under Special Marriage Act. She shared the news on her social media accounts and also tagged Ahmad, who is the state president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing - Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha.
"Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It's chaotic but it's yours!" Bhasker captioned a video featuring her husband.
Fahad Ahmad, who graduated from Aligarh Muslim University, is a worker from Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party. He had come to limelight during the anti-CAA protests.
In March, they had an elaborate celebration which was a mix of Hindu and Muslim customs.
We are both very conscious and proud of our identities and nobody wants to change anybody. "We planned things that are common to both our traditions. Haldi is something that happens in both. It's called ubtan in Muslims. Mehendi happens on both sides. Sangeet happens on both sides. In India, an interfaith couple that does not convert, can only get married in the court under the Special Marriage Act. That we have done. Now we are trying to build a common tradition of celebrations," a daily quoted Swara as saying.
