Swami Vivekananda's thoughts still relevant: Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata, Jan 12: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, saying his thoughts were still relevant today.
"Swami Vivekananda's thoughts of over 100 years ago are still so meaningful today: To do good and to be good, that's the whole of religion," Banerjee said in her Twitter feed.

"On Swami Vivekananda's birthday, here is another inspirational saying: All power is there within you. You can do anything and everything," the chief minister said. Banerjee said that state government has declared holiday today, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary.
"On his 152nd birth anniversary today (Monday), I pay my humble respects to Swami Vivekananda, who was the first 'Global Youth' of India," Singh tweeted.
