He indicated that he is keen on returning to the BJP.

Roy was in Delhi on Monday and said he was visiting the national capital on some work. His family had initially claimed that he had gone missing and accused the BJP of indulging in dirty politics. The family said that the BJP was using the Trinamool Congress leader who was unwell and not in the 'right frame of mind.'

"I am a BJP legislator. I want to be with the BJP. The party has made arrangements for my stay here. I want to meet Amit Shah and speak to party president J P Nadda, Roy told a Bengali news channel.

In 2017, Roy a founding a member of the TMC switched to the BJP. He won on a BJP ticket in the Bengal polls, but returned to the TMCC later without resigning from the House.

He said, "I was not keeping well for some time, so I was away from politics. Right now I am fine and would like to be active in politics."

"100 per cent, I am confident that I will not be associated with the TMC," Roy further added.

"He too should join the BJP as it would suit him best," Roy advised his son, Subharanghsu.

There has been drama over Roy since Monday when his family members claimed that he was missing. On reaching Delhi, Roy told reporters that he had no specific agenda.

"I have come to Delhi. There is no specific agenda. I have been an MP for several years. Can I not come to Delhi? Earlier I would come regularly to Delhi. I am an MLA and MP of Delhi," he had said.

"My father is not in the right frame of mind. I would request everyone not to do politics with an unwell person. After he went missing, I had also filed a police complaint last night," Subharanghsu had told reporters.

Speculation was rife that Roy would rejoin the BJP following a cryptic message on Facebook by BJP national secretary, Anupam Hazra. He had written, 'comeback.'
