Sushma Swaraj reveals why Congress is not naming PM candidate

While speaking at the party's national council meet, Swaraj said, "Congress's reason for not announcing PM candidate can't be digested. Congress is scared and the fear of losing has stopped them from announcing their PM candidate."
"The Congress has been decimated in the recent elections, it is a sign of things to come. We declared Modi our PM candidate, but the Congress is still silent about its leadership. Congress is afraid of poll defeat", she further said.
The people of this country will soon give Congress a sense of reality: Sushma
On Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, she said, "Rahul said that Opposition stalls Parliament and do not let passage of bills.
Do you come to the parliament? Did you ever see the proceedings? You recite your lines sitting at home and give these speeches."
On Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, she said, "Sonia Gandhi said that our government did great work. They can't see the reality on the ground. The people of this country will soon give them a sense of reality."
On PM Dr Manmohan Singh, she said in a hard-hitting speech on the last day of two-day BJP National Executive meeting, "When they completed four years last year, PM said that the previous government has given them an empty glass when asked about inflation and other problems in the country. I want to reply, If you're indulging in corruption and other scams obviously the glass can't be filled. We gave you a full glass but you spent all the time in emptying that glass. The growth rate has fallen heavily because of corruption."
Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj accused the Prime Minister of speaking "untruth", in an apparently reference to his remarks that bureaucrats were hesitant to take decisions fearing CVC and CAG.
She mocked the claim of Congress that it was not its tradition of naming the PM candidate and said a tradition is something which party leaders and workers are aware of, not something which they are reminded of at the last moment.
"This is the same drama which we had seen during the time of 'inner voice'," she said in a reference to Congress President Sonia Gandhi's decision to not become the PM after her party's victory in 2004 polls and instead appointing Manmohan Singh for the top job.
"This is a party which hears the voice of conscience a bit too late and realises its tradition a bit too late.
On BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, she said, "We have nominated Narendra Modi as PM candidate for the Lok Sabha elections. We declared Modi our PM candidate, but the Congress is still silent about its leadership. After 12 years Modi got justice, I would like to congratulate you Mr Modi. We will win more than 272 seats in 2014 polls.
