Surprise diplomacy: Modi to visit Pakistan, meet Sharif in Lahore today
Kabul, Dec 25: In a surprise and unplanned meet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif today.
He will meet Sharif in Lahore on his way back to New Delhi.
Now in Kabul, Modi tweeted that he spoke to Sharif over telephone and wished him on his birthday.

PM Modi will be greeted at the Lahore airport by his Pakistani counterpart where the two will have a lunch. 35 chefs have been rushed to the airport to prepare the lunch for the two prime ministers, say reports.
Heavy security arrangements have been made in and around Lahore airport to prevent any untoward incident.
The relations between India and Pakistan have witnessed some positive developments after chill for several months.
The two countries recently decided to launch a comprehensive dialogue after Modi and Sharif met in Paris.
