Sunny Leone's condom ad will lead to more rapes, says CPI Leader

New Delhi, Sept 3: CPI leader Atul Anjan has courted fresh controversy by saying that a condom ad endorsed by Bollywood actress Sunny Leone will lead to more rapes in the country.

It all began when Anjan was addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh when he said that the advertisement was 'developing sexuality and ruining sensibilities.' The video was later uploaded on YouTube.

"Now there is an advertisement with her. Have you see it? She is lying down and a man is seen approaching her. It is such a dirty and a horrific advertisement that develops your sexuality and destroys your sensibility," he said.

He went on to add that if such advertisements appear on TV it will lead to more rape cases in the country.

However after his comments stirred a controversy, Anjan on Thursday spoke to ANI and said: "Supporters of porn and Sunny Leone are raising objections, I apologise but I don't stand for such ads. Sunny Leone's ads are vulgar."
