Sunanda Pushkar death: The 10th injury on wrist raise questions

is intensifying by the day. Recent post mortem reports confirm that she had an injection mark on the wrist, which led to her death.

The doctors also said that her body emanated a foul-smelling gas on dissection.

The report said,"All injuries on her body were caused by blunt force, simple in nature and not contributing to death, except injury number 10, which is an injection mark."

Sunanda had a total of 15 injury marks on her body, which were caused within 12 hours of her death. Interestingly, injury number 12 was caused by a teeth bite.

The report, signed by Dr Sudhir Gupta said,"A mild, foul-smelling gas emanated from her body during dissection." It further said,"Only the viscera report will reveal the nature of injection." The Viscera report will be out only in March.

The Delhi Police, however, has written to the Central Forensic Science Lab last week, demanding the report at the earliest. Circumstantial evidence proved that an overdose of anxiety medicine Alprazolam was the cause of the death. [Read full report]

Was it the IPL scandal?

The new findings of the post mortem report have given rise to various speculations, the most popular being the IPL scandal where Shashi Tharoor was named. Clearly, in a Twitter post by Sunanda (during the Mehr Tarar episode), she had said:

"Our accounts have not been hacked and I have been sending out these tweets. I cannot tolerate this. This is a Pakistani woman who is an ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) agent, and she is stalking my husband. And you know how men are. He is flattered by the attention. I took upon myself the crimes of this man during IPL (Indian Premier League). I will not allow this to be done to me. I just can't tolerate this. I have nothing more to say." [Read full report]

But her mysterious death inside hotel Leela Palace said a lot more than she wished to. Was this an attempt to silence her? Who, why and how still requires to be probed.
