Sunanda murder case: A day before her death, Pushkar visited Lutyens' area, claims Swamy

New Delhi, Jan 21: After giving advice to police regarding the Sunanda Pushkar mureder case, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday raised few more question on Twitter and brought to fore yet another angle in the murder mystery.

Swamy on Twitter said,"Did Sunanda leave Leela 16 th Jan night ? Whose car, to meet whom, why & for how long? If I get confirmation I will tweet."

Further continuing on the same the BJP leader said, "Confirmation of Sunanda's 16 th night to "Lutyen's area" visit lies in CCTV footage. Waiting to see it."

He also talked about the 'Lupus' about which Tharoor had told the media and said, "Another Sunanda mystery:where are the Lupus "diagnose" medical reports that Tharoor told Sunanda about and convinced her that she had Lupus?"

The BJP leader had earlier given an advice to police and said that they should move slowly and carefully in Sunanda Pushkar's murder case.

"When the UPA was there, they were not allowed to question Tharoor. There was a lot of pressure and there were a few police officers who complied with the ruling party. But, ever since November, the police have moved into action. This is a high profile case with so many interests involved. The IPL matter is also tagged with this. So, I think the police have to move slowly and carefully. Most importantly, find out why Mr. Tharoor lied earlier and what is the truth," Swamy was quoted as saying in an ANI report.

"This was already known that she has been murdered. Now we know that the last person to see her was Mr. Tharoor. And that she had told press people that she was going to expose IPL. The truth is practically known, the question is who is the killer and who did Shashi Tharoor assist in killing. And then I think Shashi Tharoor needs to be taken into custody," he added.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police has handed over the laptop and mobile phones of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's deceased wife Sunanda Pushkar to Gandhinagar-based Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS), to retrieve crucial data which could help the ongoing probe into her death.

Earlier, Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi had said that things will be analyzed and further necessary action will be taken after Tharoor's statement is analyzed.

A case of murder was registered on January 6, 2015 and the police had said that based on available evidence, Sunanda Pushkar was poisoned.

Sunanda was found dead in her suite at Leela Palace hotel on January 17 last year, a day after she was involved in a spat with Mehr Tarar on micro-blogging website twitter over the latter's alleged affair with Tharoor.
