Sukhbir Badal Slams AAP Govt, Says Punjabis Distressed, Denied Basic Facilities
SAD president Sukhbir Badal criticized the AAP government in Punjab, stating that the common man is suffering and basic facilities are being denied. He highlighted issues like poor infrastructure, lack of social welfare benefits, and neglect of laborers interests.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal asserted on Wednesday that the common people of Punjab are facing immense distress under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, with even basic facilities being denied to them. Badal made these remarks while traveling across Tarn Taran and Khadoor Sahib assembly constituencies as part of the Punjab Bachao Yatra.

Remote Control from Delhi
Badal criticized the AAP government, stating that it is being operated by remote control from Delhi, with no regard for the aspirations of the common man in Punjab. He alleged that the remote control is being used to expand AAP's presence across the country rather than addressing the needs of Punjab's citizens.
Infrastructure Neglect
Badal pointed out the deterioration of infrastructure under the AAP regime, including link roads, sewerage systems, and roads and streetlights in villages. He expressed concern that the poor are being deprived of social welfare benefits, adding to their hardships.
Revitalizing Tarn Taran and Khadoor Sahib
Badal envisioned a transformed Tarn Taran once the SAD returns to power. He pledged to redevelop the area around the old town, converting it into a heritage center similar to the precincts of Sri Darbar Sahib. Additionally, he promised to improve rural roads and ensure efficient functioning of sewerage systems in towns and cities.
In Khadoor Sahib, Badal outlined plans for the development of the border belt, including attracting industrialists to invest in the region. He also emphasized the promotion of micro and small-scale industries in Khadoor Sahib and the revitalization of old industrial estates like the one at Goindwal Sahib.
Sukhbir Badal's statements highlight the concerns of the SAD regarding the current state of Punjab under AAP rule. The party's focus on infrastructure development, social welfare, and economic growth in Tarn Taran and Khadoor Sahib reflects its commitment to addressing the needs of the people and bringing about positive change in the state.
