Sudarshan Pattnaik Creates 22-Foot-Long Sand Art, Wishes ISRO 'Vijayee Bhava' For Chandrayaan-3
World-renowned sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik created a sand art wishing the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) success for its upcoming lunar mission Chandrayaan-3.
Pattnaik used 500 steel bowls and dishes to create a 22-foot-long sand art of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft with the message 'Vijayee Bhava' (Be victorious) at Puri Beach in Odisha on Thursday.

The launch of Chandrayaan-3 is scheduled for Friday, July 15, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The mission will attempt to land a rover on the lunar surface.
Pattnaik, who has participated in more than 65 international sand art competitions and festivals, said he created the sand art to show his support for ISRO and the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

"I wish ISRO all the best for the Chandrayaan-3 mission," Pattnaik said. "I believe that the mission will be a success and that India will make history by becoming the fourth country to land a rover on the lunar surface."
The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a follow-up to the Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 missions, which both made significant contributions to our understanding of the moon. The Chandrayaan-3 mission is expected to provide even more data about the moon, including information about its composition, geology, and potential for resources.
