New Delhi, Nov 9 Minutes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Rs 500 and 1,000 notes would be invalid, twitter and other social media were filled with one liners and jokes.
One message read, Rs 500 and 1,000 notes free with Reliance Jio Sim.
Twitter was particularly abuzz with jokes and many termed it as a surgical strike by Modi on black money and fake currency.
Further one person on Facebook said that he bribed a cop with Rs 500 to get out of a traffic violation and the cop was fine with just Rs. 100.
