Stress, political drama took a toll on Kalikho Pul
Itanagar, Aug 9: Former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Kalikho Pul who died on Tuesday morning in an apparent case of suicide was suffering from depression.
He had expressed to his close aides that he was being treated like an outcast and had been extremely upset with the Supreme Court's decision which removed his government in Arunachal Pradesh.

Pul was the chief minister for four and half months before the Supreme Court had struck down his appointment recently. One of his close aides informed that he was under immense stress for the past few weeks.
He had been complaining to many people that he was under stress. He was also suffering from depression, his aide said.
A man known for his strong grit and determination, Pul was a changed person in the past few weeks. The striking down of his appointment by the Supreme Court and the events that followed had left him stressed and depressed.
He had a lot of plans for the state, but felt that the entire political drama that took place in the past few weeks was not right. That took a toll on him, his aides also say.
