Star campaigner Modi to campaign heavily for BJP in poll bound J&K
For a better poll prospects, BJP's talks with Sajjad Lon's People's Conference over seat sharing is in its last stages. An expert on Kashmir affairs has informed OneIndia News that party is giving final shape to the time and venues of PM's rallies in the valley. BJP chief Amit Shah is in constant discussion with senior leaders in the party regarding PM's rallies.
Notably, Modi, during Lok Sabha polls, didn't address a single rally during in the Kashmir Valley. Experts are of the view that Modi's presence in Kashmir will surely help the party in J&K, where it is not a major force.
Experts, feel that soon the BJP will come to a consensus with People's Conference (PC) over seat sharing which will give a major boost to the BJP. PC has a great influence over a vast majority of people living in Kupwara. Its leader Sajjad Lon was a separatist shark who later joined mainstream politics. His father Abdul Ghani Lon was killed in 2002.
As per experts, Lon wants BJP to declare him as chief ministerial candidate of the alliance, which is not acceptable to the Saffron party.
But, the closeness between the BJP and PC has already started making the PDP, which had won all three Parliamentary seats from the Valley during Lok Sabha polls, jittery.
