The sudden chaos reportedly ensued as a large crowd gathered at the Sangam shore ahead of the Amrit Snan, a significant ritual observed on Mauni Amavasya. The breakdown of barriers along the route further exacerbated the situation, causing panic among pilgrims.

Emergency response teams swiftly deployed 50 ambulances to the site to provide immediate medical assistance. Security personnel are conducting extensive checks to ensure crowd management and prevent further mishaps.

While no fatalities have been reported, authorities are working to assess the full extent of the injuries and maintain order at the sacred venue. Devotees are urged to cooperate with security measures to ensure a safe pilgrimage experience.

The Maha Kumbh, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, draws millions of devotees seeking spiritual purification at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers. Authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to maintain the safety of pilgrims amidst the ongoing religious festivities.
