SSC Stenographer Exam 2024: Apply For 2,006 Vacancies, City Intimation Slip Now Available

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam centre city intimation slip for the upcoming Stenographer recruitment exam, according to the NDTV report. Candidates can check their slips on the official website, ssc.gov.in.

The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will take place on December 10 and 11. The examination aims to fill 2,006 vacancies across various government departments in India. The SSC has also announced that the admit cards will be made available for download on December 5. Candidates can access the admit cards through the designated login module on the official website.

The notice issued by the SSC further explains that detailed instructions on the examination and admit card download can be found in the official notice published on July 26 on the Commission's website.

The selection process consists of multiple stages, beginning with the Computer-Based Examination. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in this test: 30 per cent for Unreserved candidates, 25 per cent for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 20 per cent for all other categories.

During the application process, candidates must indicate their preferences for the Stenographer Grade 'C', Grade 'D', or both. After the Computer-Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test based on their scores and category. Final selection will be based on merit in the Computer-Based Examination and their post or department preferences. Once a candidate is allotted their first preference, changes will not be allowed.
