SSC CGL Tier 1 2024 Result Coming Soon: Check Cut-Offs, Downloading Steps, And More
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the results for the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 Tier 1 exam in the coming days. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, once they are announced.
Exam Details
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted from September 9 to September 26 in a computer-based test (CBT) format. The exam featured a total of 100 objective-type questions, each carrying two marks. However, there was a penalty of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. The questions were available in both English and Hindi, except for the English comprehension section.
How To Download The SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2024
Candidates can follow these simple steps to access their results:
1. Visit the official website: Go to ssc.gov.in.
2. Find the result link: On the homepage, click on the link for "SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2024".
3. Open the new page: A new page will appear on the screen.
4. Enter login details: Provide your login credentials (such as roll number and password).
5. View your result: The result will be displayed in a PDF format.
6. Print for future reference: Download and print the result along with the answer key for future use.
Minimum Passing Marks
The minimum qualifying marks for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam are set as follows:
30 per cent for unreserved (UR) candidates
25 per cent for OBC and EWS candidates
20 per cent for other categories
Additionally, the maximum allowable error rates (minimum qualifying standards) are set at:
20 per cent for unreserved candidates
25 per cent for OBC and EWS candidates
30 per cent for all other categories
What's Next?
The SSC CGL Tier II exam is tentatively scheduled for December 2024.
Recruitment Drive
The SSC CGL 2024 is being held to fill a total of 17,727 vacancies in various government departments. This year, nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the Tier 1 exam, which was conducted in multiple shifts to accommodate the large number of participants.
