Srinagar: Unarmed jawan killed at point blank range

, Sept 23: A Central Industrial Security Force (

)

was killed, along with another personnel who was injured when suspected

opened fire at them in a market place near Naaz cinema in the Iqbal Park area.

As per reports, the jawans were unarmed and were buying something when they were shot from a point blank range. Following the incident, the shopkeepers and pedestrians ran for shelter and there was utter chaos in the area for a couple of hours.

After rushing to the spot, senior police and paramilitary officials took the injured personnel to the hospital. A manhunt for the suspected militants is on.
