Sri Sri Ravi Shankar gives thumbs up to Padmaavat, says it's a beautiful tribute to Rani Padmini
Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar watched Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial period drama, Padmaavat, along with the filmmaker in a special screening at the Art Of Living ashram in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

"I loved the movie and haven't found anything objectionable about it. Very shocked to see people protesting, as the movie is about Rajput honour and is a beautiful tribute to Rani Padmavati. I request people to go watch the movie, it will make you proud. Padmaavat should be celebrated across India," said the Art of Living founder, reports News 18.
The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the orders and notifications issued by Rajasthan and Gujarat governments prohibiting the screening of the controversial movie 'Padmaavat', clearing the decks for its nationwide release on January 25.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra also restrained other states from issuing such notifications or orders prohibiting the exhibition of the film.
The CJI said that even 'Bandit Queen' passed the test of the court. "In Delhi High Court, I had also given a judgment on 'Dhobi Ghat'. I dismissed the petition to ban the movie by imposing a cost of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner," he said.
Governments of Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand have declared that they will not allow screening of the movie, which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
