STF Busts Spurious Liquor Factory in Noida, Four Arrested
On Monday, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Noida uncovered a factory producing fake desi liquor and detained four individuals, officials reported. A senior STF official stated that a significant amount of liquor was seized during a raid on the unit located in the Surajpur police station area.

Noida STF's Successful Raid
According to Noida STF Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra, the accused previously operated an illegal liquor manufacturing facility in Bulandshahr district. Mishra revealed that the police had received information about an adulterated liquor production unit running from C Block of a Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) site in Surajpur.
Mishra explained that during interrogation, the suspects admitted to purchasing 100 percent alcohol/spirit from Rampur district. They would then dilute it with water, add colour and essence, and sell it at lower prices through salesmen at various liquor shops across the state.
Items Seized During Raid
The raid led to the arrest of Kamal, Nikhil Soni, Amit Yadav, and Govind Chaurasia, all residents of Kanpur. Mishra said, "54 boxes of desi liquor pouches of different brands, 16 ATM cards, company holograms, a drum of 100 percent alcohol/spirit, a drum of adulterated desi liquor and an auto rickshaw along with other items have been recovered from them."
Officials noted that the accused sold the adulterated liquor at reduced prices through salesmen working at various liquor shops in different districts. This illegal activity was carried out to maximise profits by undercutting legitimate liquor prices.
The STF's operation highlights ongoing efforts to curb illegal liquor production and distribution in Uttar Pradesh. The authorities continue to monitor and act against such activities to ensure public safety and compliance with laws.
This recent bust underscores the importance of vigilance and swift action by law enforcement agencies in tackling illicit trade practices. The arrested individuals will face legal proceedings as investigations continue into their operations and networks.
