'Spread Love': Brown Munde Singer AP Dhillon Breaks Silence on Shubh's India Tour

Shortly after Punjabi-Canadian singer-rapper Shubh (Shubhneet Singh) broke his silence in response to the backlash and the cancellation of his India tour amidst the ongoing diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, now Brown Munde Singer AP Dhillon has shared a message about 'spreading love and not hate'.

The Canadian-based singer used his Instagram Stories to share this message one day after Shubh's Still Rollin India Tour was called off due to allegations of his support for the Khalistan cause.

In an Instagram statement, AP Dhillon shared his perspective on the backlash and emphasized the importance of 'spreading love instead of hate.'

The singer, who has been living in Canada since 2015, and recently visited India, expressed his reluctance to engage with the frenzy of social media, recognising its futility. He wrote,"I try to stay out of all the social mania as it is clear to me that regardless of what I say or do, it is a lost cause... someone, somewhere is going to spin the narrative to their liking and create more division. As an artist it has become almost impossible to stay focussed on your craft and do what you love. I try to be mindful of everyone's sentiments but it has gotten to a point where we have to second and triple guess our every move due to fear of unintentionally fuelling even more division."

Dhillon also criticised certain political groups for exploiting artists like him for their own gain, using their public image as pawns for their agendas. He emphasized that artists aim to create art that benefits individuals regardless of their background.

The 'Brown Munde' singer called for a focus on spreading love and peace, urging people not to succumb to 'hateful programs.'

"Spread love not hate. Let's start thinking for ourselves and not let hateful influences program our beliefs. We are ALL one. Let's not let man-made social constructs divide us. Division has gotten us to this point but unity is the key to the future (sic)," Dhillon concluded.

Singer Shubh's shows cancelled

Following the cancellation of his shows in India, Canada-based Punjabi singer Shubh, in an Instagram post, expressed his connection to India, emphasizing that it is his birthplace and the land of his Gurus and ancestors.

Shubh's shows in India were canceled due to his perceived support for Khalistani groups and sharing a distorted map of India. He faced significant backlash, with allegations of supporting Khalistani sympathizers stemming from a previous social media post.
