Special NIA court frames charges against 2 in Malvani ISIS case
New Delhi, Aug 4: A Mumbai court has framed charges against two persons for entering into a criminal conspiracy to promote the Islamic State ideology in India. The two against whom charges were framed are Rizwan Ahmed and Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed.

The case in question is known as the Malvani ISIS case and was investigated by the National Investigation Agency.
The case relates to the indoctrination of Ayaz Mohamad Sultan and other youth of Malvani area, Malad, to join the terrorist organization ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) proscribed by Government of India and to the commit terrorist acts and wage war against nations allied to India.
The investigation had revealed that the accused Ayaz Mohammed entered into a criminal conspiracy with Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed and his handler Yusuf Al Hindi in 2015 to further the activities of the ISIS. Ayaz Mohamad obtained a passport in 2015 and left for Kabul from New Delhi.
The investigation had also revealed that the accused Rizwan Ahmed and Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed were involved in unlawful activities, which included instigating the youth of Malvani to join the ISIS.
