SP feud will benefit BJP, says Mayawati
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday said the feud within the Samajwadi Party (SP) would benefit the BJP as Yadav votes will get divided.
New Delhi, Nov 17: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday said the feud within the Samajwadi Party (SP) would benefit the BJP as Yadav votes will get divided.
Mayawati's remark came barely an hour after SP supremo Mulayam Singh reinstated Ram Gopal Yadav into the party. Ram Gopal Yadav was earlier expelled from the party for six years.
"SP's Yadav vote base will get divided because of this feud between the family and this will benefit BJP," she told reporters outside Parliament here.
Ram Gopal Yadav has also been reinstated as party's General Secretary and spokesperson.
Soon after his re-induction into the party, Ram Gopal said that Mulayam Singh Yadav was never against him.
Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav was on October 23 expelled from the party for six years. He was also sacked from all party posts following his open letter to party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
