Southern Tamil Nadu to receive heavy rains in next 24 hours: MeT
The Tamil Nadu Meteorological Department (MET) on Wednesday said that heavy rainfall is expected in Southern Tamil Nadu and coastal regions and heavy to very heavy rain in one or two places in the next twent four hours.

According to MET official S Balachandran,''During next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is expected over coastal region and southern part of Tamil Nadu. Heavy rainfall expected in Southern TamilNadu and coastal regions, heavy to very heavy rain in one or two places.''
"In the last 24 hours, fairly widespread rainfall recorded over Tamil Nadu," stated the MeT Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, Chennai rains have been intense for the past 48 hours. Continuous rainfall has disrupted lives of people, with authorities being forced to shut schools and colleges.
