Sourav Ganguly Appointed As Brand Ambassador Of Tripura Tourism

Cricket icon Sourav Ganguly was appointed the brand ambassador of Tripura tourism, Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on Tuesday.

The announcement came after Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury met Ganguly at his residence in Kolkata along with state officials, and discussed the proposal.

The chief minister said he also spoke to Ganguly over the phone, and was confident that his participation in the campaigns would give an impetus to the state's tourism sector, as reported by PTI.

"It's a matter of great pride that the former captain of the Indian cricket team Shri Sourav Ganguly ji has accepted our proposal to be the brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism. Had a telephonic conversation with him today. I am confident that Shri Ganguly ji's participation will definitely give an impetus to the state's tourism sector," tweeted Tripura CM.

Tripura Tourism Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, recently met with Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian cricket captain, at his residence in Kolkata to discuss a proposal. Following the meeting, it was officially announced that Ganguly's involvement would be sought to enhance the tourism sector of Tripura.

The Tourism Minister expressed his belief that the inclusion of a prominent figure like Ganguly would significantly contribute to the growth and development of tourism in the state.
