Soon a law to check cow slaughter: Haryana govt

Chandigarh, Nov 8: BJP-led Haryana government today said it will soon enact a legislation to check cow slaughter in the state. "A meeting of the management of gaushalas and gau sewaks will be convened to seek their views on this issue," Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying minister Om Parkash Dhankar said in Jind today.

Before Assembly polls in Haryana, BJP had made poll promise that if voted to power, it would take steps for stricter implementation of the laws against cow slaughter.
