Sonia Gandhi Experiences Restlessness In Shimla, Discharged After IGMC Visit

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla on Friday after she experienced restlessness during her stay in the hill town. She was discharged after a routine medical check-up and is reported to be stable.

According to Dr. Aman Chauhan, Deputy Medical Superintendent at IGMC, "Sonia Gandhi was brought to the hospital for a routine check-up. Her blood pressure was slightly on the higher side, but she is stable now."

Naresh Chauhan, Principal Advisor (Media) to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, also confirmed the development, stating, "She is stable and was taken to the hospital for a routine check-up due to some minor health concerns." Gandhi returned home after the examination and is expected to travel back to Delhi on Sunday.

Sonia Gandhi is currently in Shimla on a private visit and staying at the Gandhi family's residence in Chharabra, a location often used by the family to escape the summer heat.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who was on a two-day visit to Una, shortened his schedule and returned to Shimla in light of the situation.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also owns a private residence in Chharabra, and the Gandhi family frequently visits the area during the summer months.
