Sonam Raghuvanshi And Raj Kushwaha's First Photo Together Goes Viral

A photo of Raj and Sonam, accused of killing Raja Raghuvanshi, has surfaced on the internet. According to the reports, Sonam Raghuvanshi, the main suspect, has confessed to planning her husband's murder during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Reports said she admitted her role in the crime during interrogation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The confession was made in front of Meghalaya Police, revealing how she lured Raja to his death.

The tragic incident occurred soon after Raja and Sonam's wedding on May 11. The couple, from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, embarked on their honeymoon on May 20 to Meghalaya's scenic landscapes. However, by June 2, Raja's body was discovered in a gorge near a waterfall in Sohra (Cherrapunji) in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district.

Investigation and Confession

Sonam returned to her parents' home just four days post-wedding and began plotting with Raj Kushwaha over the phone. She convinced Raja to visit the Kamakhya temple as a ruse to lure him into the northeast for the murder. Indore Crime Branch officials revealed that Sonam emotionally manipulated Raja and planned every detail of their journey.

Sonam, along with Raj and his associates - Vishal Singh Chauhan, Anand, and Akash Rajput - devised a plan to kill Raja. If hired killers failed, Sonam intended to push Raja off a cliff while pretending to take a photo at a scenic spot. They also had an escape plan to flee to Nepal if their plot was uncovered.

Police Involvement and Arrests

All five accused-Sonam, Raj Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand-are currently in police custody. They are set to appear in court soon. The police plan to request a 10-day remand for further questioning and possibly reconstructing the crime scene.
