Son of Satyaprakash Dubey Refuses to Meet Akhilesh Yadav Over Land Dispute
In a recent incident that has stirred political unrest in Deoria, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh (UP), the son of Satyaprakash Dubey, who was brutally murdered along with four other family members over a land dispute, declined to meet Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday. The horrific killings were reportedly an act of retaliation by supporters of former district panchayat member Premchand Yadav. On October 2nd, Premchand Yadav was allegedly killed by his rival Satyaprakash Dubey and his family when he visited their home.

The tragic event unfolded as Premchand Yadavs’ supporters attacked the house of Satyaprakash Dubey on the same day and violently killed him along with four others from his family including children. In light of these events, Akhilesh Yadav visited Fatehpur village in Deoria to console the grieving families but was refused audience by Devesh Dubey, elder son of deceased Satyaprakash Dubey. He alleged that during Yadav’s regime, his mentally challenged uncle was forced into signing a property deal favouring the Premchand Yadavs’ family without receiving any money.
A Plea For Justice
The SP president requested government intervention to help both families receive justice for their losses. Devesh also wrote a letter to the district magistrate and superintendent of police expressing his refusal to meet Akhilesh Yadav while accusing him for coercing his uncle into signing away property rights during his tenure as chief minister in 2014. He claimed that they were prevented from constructing a house on their land at gunpoint and feared being targeted due to boosted morale among people belonging to Yadav's caste following his visit.
Aftermath And Legal Proceedings
The Allahabad High Court stayed the Deoria district administration's order for demolition of Premchand Yadav’s house on Monday. The tehsildar of Deoria had ordered the demolition on October 11, against which Premchand Yadav’s father Ram Bhawan Yadav appealed to the high court.
Akhilesh Yadavs’ Response
When asked about his refusal by Satyaprakash Dubeys' son, Akhilesh stated that he respects their feelings and suggested that some leaders might have influenced him not to meet. He assured financial aid to both families if needed and criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for alleged discrimination in justice delivery. He also warned against taking political advantage from such incidents and blamed current government for lack of justice since day one.
Allegations Against State Government
Akhilesh accused state government of hiding facts regarding how events unfolded on October 2nd. He questioned why it was concealed that Premchand Yadav was invited to Dubey's house before being killed. Referring to a recent murder case in Sultanpur, he criticized Adityanath government's approach towards victims of such crimes.
In conclusion, this tragic incident has become a hotbed for political unrest with allegations flying thick and fast between parties involved. Amidst all this chaos, it is crucial that justice is served promptly without any bias or influence while ensuring safety and support for grieving families who lost their loved ones in these unfortunate events.
