24 smugglers arrested in West Bengal

Malda (WB), Aug 30: Twenty-four people were arrested when they were allegedly trying to smuggle out 170 cows to Bangladesh through the Shovapur Border outpost near Farakka in this district today.

All the 24 smugglers, including seven Bangladeshis, were caught by the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans at the outpost this morning, BSF officials said.

Later all the smugglers were handed over to the Baishnabnagar Police Station, they said.
