Patna, Sept 29: Slain Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh's son Indu Bhusan on Tuesday announced he would contest the Bihar assembly polls from Terari constituency in Bhojpur district.
"I have decided to contest the Terari seat and will file nomination papers on October 7," Indu Bhusan, the national president of Akhil Bhartiya Kisan Sangathan, told the media here. He will be a candidate of the farmers' party.[Bihar Election 2015: Special Coverage]

The Sangathan is a political outfit of the outlawed Ranvir Sena that was founded by Brahmeshwar Singh.
Indu Bhusan is eyeing the support of farmers, particularly of his caste men - landed upper caste Bhumihars who are considered pro-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Indu Bhusan's supporters are also hopeful of getting the support of upper caste Rajputs in his rural constituency.
He unsuccessfully contested the Patliputra parliamentary constituency in 2014 general elections.
Brahmeshwar Singh too contested the 2004 Lok Sabha polls as an Independent from Arrah but was defeated.
