MP: Six SIMI activists escape from jail
Khandwa, Oct 1:. After serial rapist Jaishankar escaped the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bangalore in a dramatic fashion last month, reports of seven convicts including six SIMI activists escaped from the Khandwa jail on Madhya Pradesh emerged on early Tuesday morning.

The convicts escaped in the early hours of Tuesday after they stabbed two security guards.

SP Khandwa Manoj Sharma confirmed the escape of the convicts and said that they would be arrested soon. A massive hunt is on for the convicts and the entire area has been cordoned off.

The incident took place on Tuesday between 2 am and 3 am. The seven prisoners reached the jail bathroom and stabbed the two security guards as they snatched their rifles. They then broke the wall of the bathroom and escaped.

In the meantime, the Khandwa police has managed to arrest one Abid Mirza, who is accused of planting a bomb in a nursing home in the area and was involved in a ransom case from 2010.
