Situation in Manipur under control says Indian Army
The Indian Army has said that it has taken stock of the situation in the violence-hit Manipur.
The situation has been brought under control, the Army said in a statement.

"The situation has been brought under control through coordinated actions by all stakeholders. IAF undertook continuous sorties from two airfields in Assam employing C17 Globemaster and AN 32 aircraft,"the Army said in a statement.
Meanwhile evacuation of civilians from all communities from the affected areas were carried out throughout the night and flag marches were held in Churachandpur and other sensitive areas.
"Induction commenced on the night of May 4 and additional columns commenced domination with effect from the wee hours of May 5. Domination and evacuation of civilians of all communities from affected areas continued throughout the night. Flag march in Churachandpur and other sensitive areas underway," the Army statement also read.
Earlier, taking into account the situation in Manipur all Manipur-bound trains were cancelled by the Northeast Frontier Railways.

The Army had also cautioned on the fake videos that are in circulation owing to the violence that had hit the state.
"Fake videos on the security situation in Manipur including a video of the attack on Assam Rifles post are being circulated by inimical elements for vested interests. Indian Army requests all to rely on content through official and verified sources only," the SpearCorps.IndianArmy said in a tweet.
On May 4 internet services were suspended following the violence. The government said that Internet services would remain suspended for five days.
