Sisters’ Suicide Horror: Two Sisters Die By Suicide On Their Wedding Day Within Hours

A household in Jodhpur's Manai village was plunged into grief after two sisters, who were set to get married on the same day, died within hours of each other.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning, just as wedding preparations were underway at their home.

Family members rushed the two women to a private hospital after their health suddenly deteriorated, but doctors declared both dead on arrival.

Wedding Preparations Turn To Mourning

The deceased have been identified as Shobha (25) and Vimla (23). According to police, wedding celebrations continued late into Friday night and both sisters went to sleep around midnight.

In the early hours of the morning, their condition reportedly worsened suddenly, leading to panic in the family.

Police said:

• Both sisters were scheduled to be married on Saturday
• They were taken to hospital around 4 am
• Doctors declared them dead on arrival
• Funeral preparations were halted for investigation

Authorities later sent the bodies for post-mortem examination after being informed about the deaths.

Poison Angle Under Investigation

Preliminary findings suggest that the sisters may have consumed a poisonous substance, though officials said the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is completed. No suicide note has been recovered from the house so far.
