New Delhi, Aug 13: Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu is waiting for government permission to allow him to go to Pakistan to attend the oath taking ceremony of PM-elect Imran Khan on August 18.
After he applied for the visa at the Pakistan High Commission, Sidhu said, "There are some formalities for which I am here, I have applied for government permission. Everything depends on India government's permission now."
Earlier, while talking to media, Sidhu said that Imran Khan called him personally to invite him for his oath-taking ceremony in Pakistan on August 18. The call was later followed by a formal email from PTI leaders.
Sidhu was among the first cricketers from India to congratulate Imran Khan after his party emerged as the single-largest party following the July 25 elections in the neighbouring country.
