Siachen braveheart's daughter turns 3. This is how she celebrated
Netra, daughter of Siachen braveheart Hanumanthappa Koppad turned three on Friday. Dolled up in a red and white birthday dress that Mahadevi Koppad chose for her, Netra went straight to her father's resting place to seek his blessings.
She was barely two years old when Hanumanthappa Koppad was martyred as a result of an avalanche in Siachen. On Friday, ringing in her third birthday, Netra first offered prayers at her father's final resting place and visited a temple. "Netra cut a cake in the evening. Family and friends were with us. The first person she wanted to visit in the morning was her pappa. Temple came later," said Mahadevi Koppad while speaking to OneIndia.
Netra will start attending school from this academic year and her mother wants the best for her. Mahadevi Koppad has chosen a school in Hubli for the 3-year-old. On Netra's birthday, Mahadevi reiterated that she would want Nethra to join the army just like her father and serve the nation.
