Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara Hosts Grand Procession in Prayagraj with Esteemed Mahamandaleshwars
The grand peshwai procession of the Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara and the Devta Yatra of Kinnar Akhara began on Saturday. The event started from Maujgiri Ashram, showcasing a blend of splendour and spirituality. Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri, along with other prominent figures, was part of the Juna Akhara procession, seated on a silver throne mounted on a tractor trolley.

Juna Akhara Procession Highlights
Naga seers participated in the Juna Akhara procession, carrying tridents and playing damrus while chanting "Har Har Mahadev." Devotees lined the streets, greeting them with folded hands. Saints and sages tossed toffees from their chariots, delighting children who eagerly collected them. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and joy as the procession moved forward.
Kinnar Akhara's Devta Yatra
Following the Juna Akhara was the Devta Yatra of Kinnar Akhara, led by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. Tripathi was seated on an impressive silver throne. A notable attraction was Mahamandaleshwar Pavitranand Giri, who rode in a 1965 Rolls Royce. Ayush Tandon, who rents vintage cars for weddings, mentioned that this was the first time his car was part of such an event.
The Kinnar Akhara's convoy consisted solely of beautifully decorated carriages. Approximately 30 carriages were included in this yatra. To enhance the appeal of the yatra, Damru Dal from Varanasi was invited. Dinesh Kumar Kanaujia from Shri Kashi Vishwanath Damru Dal Seva Samiti noted that it was their first invitation to participate in the Devta Yatra.
Security Measures
To ensure safety throughout the yatra, a significant number of horse-mounted policemen and other officers were deployed. Their presence helped maintain order and security during the entire event. The combination of vibrant processions and tight security ensured a smooth and successful celebration.
The event concluded with a sense of fulfilment among participants and spectators alike. The blend of tradition, spirituality, and modern elements made it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
