Shopian: 3 militants killed in a fire exchange with CRPF

The attack took place a few hours before the high-profile peace concert by Zubin Mehta at the Shalimar Gardens. Many dignitaries are likely to be part of the 1500-strong audience, including government ministers and diplomats.
The separatist group in Kashmir, however, have boycotted the concert with a bandh on Srinagar today.IN fact, a parallel counter-concert has been organised by a few groups, barely 10 kilometers from the concert venue.
Denying any relation to the Zubin Mehta concert, the police confirmed that they have recovered hand grenades and AK-47 rifles from the militants. They also informed that some CRPF jawans have also been injured in the attack.
